Calum wins for April in inaugural SSE Youth Recognition awards

East Meath

The first SSE Youth Recognition Awards took place in Sage & Stone Duleek.

There were six finalists across the three categories; Learning Success, Community Contribution and Personal Achievement.

The finalists were from Bellewstown National School, Donore National School, St. Mary's Diocesan School and Duleek/Bellewstown Ladies' Gaelic Club.

The April winner was Calum Agnew, a Duleek resident and Transition Year student in St. Mary's.

Calum was involved in his school's "Music and Memory" programme in Tredagh Lodge in which the students visit the Alzheimer's Society Day Care Centre twice a week, get to know the elderly clients there and make up personalised playlists to eventually gift personalised MP3 Players to them.

Calum is talented musician and a hard-working student.

He was nominated by his teacher, Ms. Curtis.
