Election Posters

Did you ever see such a large amount of local election posters that are scattered throughout the parish and beyond. The election hopefuls have been busy going from door to door over the past number of days and weeks, spreading more and more of their fairy-tales to an already weary, dissolusioned and angry electorate. One of the election posters that is doing the rounds is so large you could almost play a good game of handball against it; in a time when we are above knee-deep in recession, this is taking it a bit too far; be wise in your vote on Wednesday!

Weather condition

Easter may be early this year but have you ever witnessed such cold weather conditions in late March. There is certainly not much noise of a lawnmower being heard throughout the parish in recent days and, if the weather keeps up like this, farmers will have difficulty bringing livestock back out on to the land after winter and getting the soil ready for spring planting. Meanwhile, the clock goes forward this coming Easter Saturday night so we will all lose an hour's sleep on Sunday morning next.
