Tullyallen National School Parents Association
The parents association are looking for volunteers for the Communion reception which takes place next Saturday, May 11th.
The children and parents of the Holy Communion children go over to the hall after the ceremony for a wee cup of tea and a chat. Traditionally, the parents of the children in first class would help with the teas and coffees so when their turn came the following year they would, in turn, be looked after by the class coming behind them. But, what with the busy lives we all lead this may not always be possible so any help no matter how big or small, whether it be donating some cakes, buns, fancy treats, tea, coffee etc or giving a couple of hours helping set up the hall or helping out in the hall on the day would be appreciated.
There are so many different ways to help the organizers but the organizers are especially asking if anyone can help out Saturday morning from 11am to 3pm. If you can help please contact 085 2554058.
Any contribution from any of the parents would be more than appreciated for this is a lovely tradition in our school.
Also, the date for the Sports Day has been set as Sunday 26th May. This is a major fund raiser for the school but it cannot go ahead without volunteers on the few days leading up to and on the day itself.
If you can help with the set up or running or donate spot prizes or help with the medals. There are so many different ways to help the day be the success it always has been in past years.
The association have started their collections for the vintage bazaar and Lucky Dip stalls. They will be collecting Toys (new or in good working condition, Unwanted Gifts, Teddy Bears, Adult & Children's Books, Household Accessories, to name but a few. If you can help with this or in any other way, just contact the parents association for further details.
