National School Parents Association EGM
There will be an EGM for the Tullyallen National School Parents Association on Tuesday 12th February at 8pm in the school and they urge all the parents who have children in the school to attend. The parents association raise funds for and organize the Confirmation Reception, Communion Reception, Sports Day, Oldbridge Family Walk & Santas Visit and Gifts not to mention financial contribution to swimming lessons, music lessons, storytelling, & planetarium but to name a few. If every parent gave just a little of their time the workload would be distributed thinly among everyone and the children would continue to benefit from the Trojan work that some of the parents have been doing in recent times. But they are in need of help to do this and without a new injection of parents to the association the children will no doubt be the ones to lose out. So if every parent can make a note of the 12th February 8pm in their diary and go along and give just a little help, the Parents Association will continue to help the school in every way they can.

Drogheda Branch ISPCC
Anyone interested in attending one of our information sessions should contact me on Carol.Dixon@ispcc.ie or 0419833406 to book a place.
The Drogheda Branch of the ISPCC is recruiting for our "Childline" Service and our next training course is due to start in January. We recruit volunteers from all over the Louth and Meath area and are eager to add to our fantastic team. We are currently recruiting volunteers for Monday to Thursday. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend an information evening/day. This is an opportunity for people to come along and hear about the service, and what is involved in volunteering. They would also have a chance to hear from an already active volunteer.
The latest craze at the All Weather Pitch in Clogherhead is to hire it out by the hour for your child and their friends to play football. It costs only €20 for 1 hour and after the hour you can continue the party there on the pitch or go to the Community Hall where they can run around having great fun in secure, friendly and safe surroundings for only €30 per hour. And then they just flake out with tiredness, happy but tired.
