Termonfeckin: Congratulations to a young local man Dylan Keating who was recently crowned Drogheda Independent Coca Cola "Sport Star of the Year. Dylan aged 16 who is Seapoint Junior Captain for 2019 has been enjoying remarkable success on the Golf Course for the past 12 months and is very well deserving of this latest award. Dylan is a son of Gary and Valerie Keating.
The Club is going bowling on Tuesday February 5th and new members are welcome to attend. There are a number of upcoming competitions which include Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton and are being held in Lannleire Pavillon, Dunleer on Friday February 8th. The next monthly meeting will be held in Keogh's pub, Ballymakenny on Wednesday February 13th at 9pm. New members most welcome as always. St. Fechin's Lotto
The numbers drawn were 8, 9, 15 and 21. There was no winner of the jackpot. The €100 winner was Bobby Levins. Winners of €20 were Laurence Mc Evoy, Sabina Beirth, Derek Holcroft, Mary Mc Elroy and Shane Winters. The jackpot is now at €3,400 and is sponsored by Madden's Centra, Termonfeckin.
St. Fechin's Ladies
St. Fechin's Ladies will hold a Pub Quiz on Friday February 15th at 8.30pm in Keogh's, Ballymakenny. Table of 4-€40. All are welcome.
Set Dancing is held on Thursday nights in Sandpit Hall at 8.30pm. Beginners are welcome. This is a great way to keep in shape and learn the art of Set Dancing.

Internet safety talk
St Patrick's NS Slane, Parents Association host an Internet Safety Talk for parents this Thursday, February 7th, in the school hall at 7.30pm. Parents of children from all classes are encouraged to attend this invaluable session on how pupils can use the internet safely.
Young GAA stars
Well done to two local budding young GAA footballers who were showing off their skills in front of a big crowd in Pairc Tailteann recently. Ethan Harding from Slane NS and Sean Gillespie from Stackallen NS were members of the Cumann na mBunscol Go Games teams that played an exhibition match at half-time during the Meath versus Tipperary National Football League tie. Two young stars of the future no doubt.
Top award for Stacey
Congratulation to Stacey Grimes from Stackallen who was named Senior Player of the Year at the recent Meath Ladies GAA awards night. Stacey is one of the most prolific forwards in the country at present and plays her club football with Seneschalstown. A member of the county team, she was one of the stars throughout 2018 in Meath's march to the All-Ireland intermediate final.
Grange & District Game Club have a Game Night in the Sallygardens this Saturday, February 9th, at 9pm. Everyone is invited to come and sample a wide range of game dishes.

Newgrange online booking suspended
Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre will undergo major refurbishment in the coming months and for the duration of the works the online pre-booking service will not be available. All tickets will be issued on a daily first come first served basis.
A Restorative Yoga Evening with Brenda takes place on Friday, February 15th, at the Ananda Centre, Slane, from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
The Conyngham Arms Hotel will host the brilliant Hothouse Flowers in concert on Easter Sunday night, April 21st. The world renowned rock group that combines traditional Irish music with influences from soul, gospel and rock performed recently at the Temple Bar Tradfest and have a number of other concerts coming up shortly including the Dubai Opera House on St Patrick's Day. Slane Spinners have announced that their annual SOSAD sportive takes place on Saturday, May 11th, starting and finishing at Stackallen Tennis & Pitch & Putt Club where there is ample facilities for parking cars etc. Registration details and routes information will be released shortly. Close to 300 cyclists took part in last years event over 50km and 105km.
