Calling all Residents! Bees need your help! Join us for a 'Pollinator Event' at Teach Raithneach, Starinagh, Collon. Dr. Niamh Roche will introduce what pollinators are and why we need them.

This will be followed by a chat about easy-to-implement, no cost measures to encourage bees and other pollinators to your garden, patio or roadside verge.

We will then have a 'pollinator plant and seed swap'. Participants are encouraged to bring seeds and cuttings from plants they know are good for pollinators to the event, and we will swap around these materials on the day so that everyone can share resources.

Guidelines for gardening for pollinators will be available on the day. We will finish up by taking a look outside to find nesting and foraging sites for bees.

Join us at Teach Raithneach on Saturday 27th April 2019 from 2.00 to 3.30 pm. Please note the change of date! This is a free event open to all.
