Sonairte Volunteers Needed
Sonairte (Laytown) are looking for volunteers! For those who don't know,
Sonairte is mostly run by volunteers, we are in need of extra hands for the summer. with many roles available especially in the garden, helping our gardeners produce fresh organic food for our shop.
So, if you can spare a few hours to improve a skill or start a new hobby, please get in touch with them on their Facebook page.
The Irish Cancer Society's Volunteer Driver Service is looking for volunteer drivers in Meath who will drive patients to and from their chemotherapy appointments in their partner Dublin hospitals.
The service is free to the patient with all driver expenses being paid.

Laytown P & P
The course is looking great at the moment and it's a great asset to the community. Membership is open to new members so why not give it a go.
The 2019 Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann Clar with 100 pages of information on events happening from August 11th to 18th for this year's Fleadh, is now available from Drogheda Tourist Office.
It includes information on all official concerts, Seachtain na hEigse, Youth Programme, Ceilithe, Seachtain na Gaeilge, Treasures of the Boyne Valley Culture Tours, Singing Recitals, Singers Club, Singers Café, Scotch Hall Sessions, Exhibitions etc.
We also have a fresh delivery of the Drogheda Camino Brochure and we still have tickets for the Steam Train Excursions to Dundalk and Skerries on Sunday July 21st
30th Anniversary of Mornington Church
Mornington Church was Blessed and opened on 27th August 1989 by Bishop Michael Smith. To mark the 30th anniversary of the new church a special Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael Smith on Saturday the 31st of Aug at 6 pm.
You are asked to make a special note of this and join the parish in the celebrations.
The Mass will be followed by a Parish Social Evening in the Glenside Hotel. Buffet reception at 7.30pm. Tickets €15 will be available in July. A meeting will be held to make preparations on Wednesday, June 12th (tomorrow) at 8 pm in the parish rooms.
This will be held every Tuesday in Laytown and Bettystown golf club at 7.30 pm. All welcome. Phone 9813282 between (9.30 am to 5.30 pm) if you need a partner. Proceeds will go to local charities such as East Meath Meals on Wheels and Senior Citizens Mornington/Bettystown and Laytown.

Julianstown Drama Group
The drama group are putting on a special event on Saturday 24th August during Heritage Week about Collier the Robber. This will be a light hearted drama and they need actors; no experience necessary, Debbie will show you the ropes and coerce you to bring out your inner acting talents. Duleek Library Events
There are lots of workshops and events taking place in Duleek Library during the months of July and August for children of all ages. There is Arts & Crafts, Mindfulness, Scratch, Space Adventure, Thomas the Tank event and many more. There is also the Summer Star reading scheme. Tús Work Placement
Exciting opportunity to avail of 19.5 hours work placement in your local area. Meath Partnership is currently seeking to expand the number of participants on the Tús Scheme.
Tús is a one-year community work placement scheme for people who are unemployed for more than twelve months and in receipt of a jobseeker's payment. Participants receive a top up payment, while maintaining all secondary benefits. Minimum payment is €225.50 per week.
