International Women's Day
The Women of Dandora Slum Nairobi Kenya . Following her recent visit to Nairobi, Liz Lynch will be giving a talk on Friday 8th March at 7.30pm, on her experiences of the women of the slums and the daily challenges they face. Refreshments will be served . Voluntary donations on the night will be given to the Brother Andre, Maternity & Paediatric Centre Dandora.

Sinead Reilly R.I.P.
There was very deep sadness and shock expressed following the sudden death of Sinead Reilly, Newhouse, Sandpit and formerly of Big Street, Termonfeckin. The huge turnout from the community and further afield at her Funeral showed how much loved and highly respected she was. We offer our deepest sympathy to all her family, relations and friends. Requiem Mass was offered in the Church of The Immaculate Conception and the Funeral in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sheetland Road. May she rest in peace.
The Termonfeckin ICA Guild recommenced activities in January. Members were busy making St. Bridget's Crosses for February 1st. Eight members are currently taking part in Jewellery classes and are making lovely things as well as enjoying themselves very much. Painting classes will resume sometime in April. The next Guild meeting is on March 6th where members will have their usual "Fun Quiz" followed by a lovely supper and chat. New members are welcome.
International Women's Day Celebration
Labour local election candidate Michelle Hall is hosting an International Women's Day Celebration on Friday March 8th at 7pm in Forge Field Coffee Shop, Termonfeckin. It will be an evening of discussion, music and art, including local women Dr. Edel Healy, Lily Chen and Mairead Finnegan as panelists. Tickets costing €10 which include refreshments are available from the coffee shop, Eventbrite or on the evening. Proceeds go towards Michelle's election campaign costs.
Best of luck to our men's Basketball team taking part in the National Final on March 10th in Dublin. Eamon Briscoe and members from the club will be busy on the campaign trail as Eamon starts his campaign to become Leinster Vice President of Macra with elections in April. We wish Eamon the very best of luck. The next monthly meeting will be held in Sandpit Hall on Wednesday March 13th at 9pm. New members most welcome as always. St. Fechin's Lotto
The numbers drawn were 5, 17, 20 and 23. There was no winner of the jackpot. The €100 winner was Michael Mulligan. Couch to 5K.
Training is ongoing for the St. Fechin's GAA "Couch to 5K" race on Easter Sunday. Registrations are being taken and there are places left. It costs €50 to enter which also includes walkway membership and t-shirt. Training takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8pm.
Set Dancing is held on Thursday nights in Sandpit Hall at 8.30pm. Beginners are welcome. This is a great way to keep in shape and learn the art of Set Dancing.

The season of Lent begins this Wednesday March 6th. Masses for Ash Wednesday are at 8.30am and 7.30pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception and at 10.00am in the Church of the Assumption. Stations of the Cross led by the Parish Pastoral Council take place every Sunday evening during Lent in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 7.30pm, beginning on Sunday March 10th.
A meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council takes place on Wednesday March 6th in the Parochial House following the 7.30pm Mass. All members are asked to attend.
Eucharistic Adoration takes place on Monday evenings from 7-8pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Why not come and spend some quiet time in the presence of the Lord.
