National Screening Service
The National Screening Service was established in 2007, and encompasses four National population based Screening Programmes namely, Breast Check, Cervical Check, Bowel Screen and Diabetic Retina Screen. These Programmes aim to reduce morbidity and mortality in the population through early detection and intervention, which greatly improves health outcomes. Please inform yourself of these Screening Programmes, it's important to do so.

A TUS vacancy exist with Broomfield and District Residents Association. The Work Programme involves Care-taking duties in and around Teach Raithneach, as well as the maintenance and up-keep of a number of amenities throughout the District.

Blessing of Graves
The local blessing of graves will take place on Sunday 18th August next. The Mullagh at 3p.m. and St. Denis' at 4.30p.m. This will be another great day in Clogherhead when we meet up with all our relatives and friends alongside our loved ones graves. Reminder to you all, that when you go to the graveyards to place fresh flowers on graves, that you take the dead ones and dispose of them at home. Thank you.
Blessing of the Boats
The annual Blessing of our Fishing Fleet will take place on Sunday 4th August at 3p.m. in the harbour.
This is another date in the yearly events that take place in Clogherhead. It is a day packed with activities on the Pier with Bouncy Castles, various competitions, and stalls and not forgetting the way all the boats are decorated for the event. So, put this date in your calendar and don't miss out.

Get Well Greetings
A speedy recovery is sent to all Parishioners who are ill, either at home, in hospital, and in the various convalescence and respite homes in the area. Sincere thanks are also extended to those who care for them there.
Clonalvy Revival Programme have organised a graveyard clean-up this Wednesday June 26th at 7pm to prepare for the Blessings of the Graves the following Sunday. Any support would be greatly appreciated, if you can spare some time and live nearby.

The annual Dee Mills Memorial competition between Rathfeigh & Bellewstown will take place this year on Tuesday 18th July at the Bellewstown club. Entry sheet in clubhouse; please enter your name.
Duleek Library events
There are lots of workshops and events taking place in Duleek Library during the months of July and August for children of all ages.
There is Arts & Crafts, Mindfulness, Scratch, Space Adventure, Thomas the Tank event and many more. There is also the Summer Star reading scheme.
Booking is essential as places are limited so ring 041 9880709 to book in your child.
Ardcath ICA who organise the whist drives every week donated all the proceeds from their final night to the Alzheimers Unit in Drogheda, something they have done for many years. €330 was the donation.
They also had a walk for Breast Cancer and €130 was raised for this good cause. We would like to send condolences to the Merry family on the death of their mother, Ita Merry, from all her playing friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Limetree Writers Group
The fourth book published by the Group will go on sale at the Duleek Fair Weekend on Sunday 30th June. It's a contribution of short stories and poems by all members of the Group, and makes very interesting reading. Writing sessions take place every 2nd Tuesday of the month in Duleek Library. The next meeting is Tuesday 9th July at 6.45pm. New members welcome.
Fr. Brendan Celebration
The Parish Council of Ardcath/Clonalvy will be celebrating the Silver Jubilee of Fr. Brendan Ferris on Sunday 30th June.
