Bellewstown: Bellewstown Races - The annual races at the Bellewstown course takes place from Wednesday 3rd July until Saturday 6th July. All are evening meetings.

Blotto

Blotto Results 19th June. The numbers drawn were 03-04-12-13-16.

No winner. The €10 winners were Marie & Robert; Christine Maguire; Gillian Byrne; John Carey; Margaret Whyte; Branigan's. Jackpot next week €900.

Mass at Race Course

A Mass will be held on Tuesday 2nd July at 7:30pm at Bellewstown Race Course Enclosure for deceased members, family and the local community. Refreshments will be served following the Mass. All welcome.

Duleek Library Events

There are lots of workshops and events taking place in Duleek Library during the months of July and August for children of all ages.

There is Arts & Crafts, Mindfulness, Scratch, Space Adventure, Thomas the Tank event and many more.

There is also the Summer Star reading scheme. Booking is essential as places are limited so ring 041 9880709 to book in your child.

Limetree Writers Group

The fourth book published by the Group will go on sale at the Duleek Fair Weekend on Sunday 30th June.

It's a contribution of short stories and poems by all members of the Group, and makes very interesting reading.  Writing sessions take place every 2nd Tuesday of the month in Duleek Library. The next meeting is Tuesday 9th July at 6.45pm. New members welcome.

Bellewstown P & P

The course will be closed from 3rd to 6th July because of the race meeting. The annual Open Singles gets under way on Wednesday 10th until Sunday 14th July. The annual Dee Mills competition with the Rathfeigh club will take place on Tuesday 16th July. This year we are hosting the event. Entry sheet in the clubhouse.

Julianstown & District Community Association 

There is trojan work going on in the village by these wonderful volunteers. They are out and about improving our village day and night. This is the time for judging so they are putting in extra hours and really doing a great job. Helpers are always needed and if you cannot help, a donation for plants and flowers would be much appreciated.

The annual Blessing of graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday 7th July at 11.30a.m. Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, 9th July at 7:30 pm. Please let family and friends outside of the parish know.

Tús Work Placement

Exciting opportunity to avail of 19.5 hours work placement in your local area. Meath Partnership is currently seeking to expand the number of participants on the Tús Scheme.

Tús is a one-year community work placement scheme for people who are unemployed for more than twelve months and in receipt of a jobseeker's payment.

Participants receive a top up payment, while maintaining all secondary benefits.

Minimum payment is €225.50 per week. You will also receive dedicated one to one career support, C. V. preparation, interview skills and accredited training throughout the year.

Sandcastle Competitions

The annual Sandcastle building and sand sculpturing competitions day will take place this Sunday 30th June. Now in its 17th year, it's a wonderful activity for all the family and for tourists, especially with the beach, the sand, the water, the fresh air, and the parking all free - just bring the buckets and spades!

First Responders Golf

The East Meath First Responders are holding their inaugural Golf tournament on Friday 5th July at Laytown Bettystown Golf Club. Cost is €300 per team of four. There is also a prize of a car for a hole in one. For booking and sponsorship ring 083 8302414.

AgeWell engages men and women aged 50 years and older as companions to visit less able older people in their homes. Sonairte volunteers needed

Sonairte (Laytown) are looking for volunteers! For those who don't know, Sonairte is mostly run by volunteers, we are in need of extra hands for the summer. with many roles available especially in the garden, helping our gardeners produce fresh organic food for our shop. So, if you can spare a few hours to improve a skill or start a new hobby, please get in touch with them on their Facebook page.

Drivers wanted

The Irish Cancer Society's Volunteer Driver Service is looking for volunteer drivers in Meath who will drive patients to and from their chemotherapy appointments in their partner Dublin hospitals.
