Mr. Sean Loughran R.I.P.
The community was very saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden death of Mr. Sean Loughran from Glassallen on Friday 8th February.
The huge attendance at Sean's wake and funeral showed the huge respect he held in the area. He was such a kind, caring gentleman who always looked out for others. Sean is survived by his partner Patricia, Mother Moyra, brother Liam, sisters Margaret, Imelda, Bernadette and Pauline, nephews, nieces, aunt, uncle and large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his father John Joe and nephew Peter.
Sean was laid to rest after funeral mass in the church of Mary Immaculate. May his gentle soul rest In Peace.

Twinning Ass AGM
Following the recent very successful Scottish Night, Monasterboice Twinning Association will hold it's annual general meeting in Monasterboice Inn on Monday 25th February at 8.30pm.
Monasterboice is twinned with Letham, a village in Angus, Scotland. This twinning is based on a historical connection dating back to the fifth century. Saint Buithe established his first monastery at Kirk Buddo near Letham before returning to found the great monastery at Monasterboice.
The two communities officially twinned in 2000, when the twinning charter was signed. Since then many events and visits have taken place in order to strengthen the ties between the two communities. We have extended an invitation to our Scottish friends to visit Monasterboice this year. We expect this trip to take place in August.
If you would like to get involved, do come along to our meeting. New members are always welcome.
