LOCAL BAND The Enemies are preparing for a six-day residency in the VIP lounge at the prolific South by South West festival, Austin, Texas this March.
Their song 'Dark Light' is also set to feature in the new global Cornetto ice-cream advert, which will be aired in 42 countries.
The Cornetto ice-cream advert, is based on an epic theme of 'opposites attract' and will appear on Irish screens later this spring.
This week, The Enemies learned that another of their songs, 'Sustain', is to be featured on a new US TV show called ' Gone Until December'.
The 3D documentary about women surfers will feature on Direct TV and 3D/discovery Channel.
Frontman Ronan Mcquillan said it's been a great start to 2012.
'We've been working really hard on putting the live show together. South by South West is a great opportunity for us. We'll be doing a lot of networking while we're there. It really is a dream come true.'
With studio time being used up for current advert projects, The Enemies have put their debut album on hold until the summer.
'It's a bit of a delay, but we feel it's worth it with these other opportunities that have come our way first,' said Ronan.
The Drogheda-based lads are leaving for South by South West in the second week of March and will spend St. Patrick's Day in the States. 'We'll do our best to represent the Irish,' Ronan joked. 'We'll definitely be wearing green on the day!'
