Oisin McConville to speak in town

Following on from last years "Lenten Sunday's" series of talks - St Peter's Parish are delighted to announce this year's talks which will begin on Sunday March 10th at 7:00pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

The speakers this year are an inspirational range of personalities with different life experiences and stories to tell, each week the speakers will be complemented by musical arrangements and fitting prayers.

The topics again this year address some of the social issues which are faced in 2019 Drogheda and areas in community life that require healing through prayer.

'We are encouraging people to make the "Lenten Sunday's" talks as part of their lenten observances - one which hopefully will be fruitful in nourishing both the heart and soul of our faith community.

'Our first speaker will be Oisin McConville, former Armagh GAA player - all ireland medal winner and a prominent speaker on aspects of addiction and wellbeing. Oisin will join us on March 10th for an evening not to be missed.

'One aspect of this years programme is Sunday April 7th - we will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Our Lady of Lourdes Church on this evening with a Gala concert by Liam Lawton and special guests Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Choir. Tickets will be available for the concert on each of the Lenten Sundays or in either sacristy & St Peter's Church Shop. (€20 with concession tickets at €15),' a spokesperson stated.

Other speakers include Bishop Denis Nulty on March 31.
