Weekend of events planned for the Highlanes Gallery
The Highlanes Gallery opens its doors this Saint Patrick's Day Weekend, and has a host of events lined up.
This Friday 15th join Amie Lawless from 2 - 4pm as she talks on behalf of Arts & Disability Connect. Specifically targeted at individual artists with disabilities, this session offer artists the opportunity to: connect with other practitioners or venues; make a change in their practice; 'step up' in terms of scope and scale; reach new audiences and to engage in mentoring or training.
Amie Lawless will talk through how the scheme works and take the opportunity to ask any questions over tea or coffee. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend an information clinic.
This Sunday 17th, the Highlanes Gallery will be open from 12 to 5 and is delighted to host a special performance by returning piper Darragh Ó Héiligh from 2 - 3:15pm. Darragh will be joined by musicians Bríd Dunne (fiddle and piano), Roisin Ward (fiddle) and Oisin Dillon (guitar and vocals) for a glorious afternoon of traditional Irish music within the exhibition Chair by Mary A Kelly. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
