The Tredagh Singers, founded in 1970 and originally known as St. Peter's Choral group, are well known and much admired in Drogheda and the surrounding area. They are a mixed choir of 60 members who enjoy singing a wide repertoire ranging from medieval polyphony to the modern composers under the direction of Geraldine Doggett a well known choir director and local musician.

The Celtic Choir Berlin was founded in 2008 by Lizzy Ahrens-Assen who has proven herself the driving force of the choir and though she s no longer the musical director she continues to sing with them. The choir sing beautiful arrangements of traditional and folk songs most of which originate in Britain and Ireland.

In 2017 the choir travelled to Berlin where they enjoyed the hospitality of the Celtic Choir, and both choirs were joined by the Lisburn Ladies choir in a concert of music from the British Isles. The Celtic Choir is now paying a return visit to perform with theTredagh singers in their Summer concert and we hope they will receive a warm Drogheda welcome.

This the fourth year that Geraldine and the choir have been kind enough to donate the proceeds of their summer concert to the Louth Meath branch of Down Syndrome Ireland.
