Togher theatre group masters of the arts...

Hundreds pack out St Mary's Drumcar for four great shows

Hubert Murphy

One word usually sums up the Togher Theatre group - professional.

For their 13th production in St Mary's Hall in Drumcar last week, they put on Little Red Riding Hood and it was clear to see what an effort went into it - both on stage and behind it.

The production was first class, the sound and dancing faultless.

On stage, there was a great understanding between the partnerships, Brendan McGrath superb as Nursie, Isabel Corrigan, confident and polished and a gifted singer to boot, magnificent as Red.

Tom Maher looked every inch the star as Woodie, Bernie O,Neill, a classic granny, Roisin McArdle, Danielle Gillespie and Colm Dunne a great combination as Curley, Wurley and Mo.

There were other polished performances from the rest also, Miliosa McGahon Woods as the big bad wolf, Sandra McKeown, Jimmy Byrne and Colm Dunne amongst the crew showing the worth of faultless preparation. Another success story in Togher.
