Tenors to shine at Dominican

The Dominican Church continues to be a hive of activity, with a real highlight earmarked for the end of' the year.

The 3 Tenors are booked in to perform in the church on Sunday December 22.

It promises to be a great show and the choir from St Joseph's NS in Mell will join them for the night.

'We hope to create the true spirit of Christmas', Fr Jim Donleavy stated. Tickets will be on sale shortly for the event.

A new church choir is also being formed and it's hoped to have the choir in place in the coming weeks. They are all ages and Olive Powderly is spearheading the group.

The Friends of the Dominican are also seeking people to take part in the mini marathon in June. They are fundraising for three great causes, palliative care at Our Lady of Lourdes, remembering Fr Chris and Jackie Maher who were so well cared for by the staff there, the ONE and St John Ambulance.

Contact the mass office for more details and sponsor cards or 0861533953.
