Launch night for 'strictly' fundraiser

The official launch of the Naomh Fionnbarra GFC/ St. Anne's camogie Strictly Come Dancing takes place on Friday, April 4, in the Glyde Inn, Annagassan.

All are welcome to join in the fun; admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

The 34 dancers have just completed week one of their training, and have embarked on an exciting six-week journey with no u-turn, as its destination TLT, Drogheda on Saturday, May 3.

Dancers have already practiced some complicated manoeuvres and lifts in their first week and indeed one would not be surprised if local gyms boasted an increase in new membership as the 17 male dancers may benefit from a couple of trips to the gym to boost upper body strength!

The line up of dancers includes Linda Woods, Colm Markey, Denise Caffrey , Sean Kennedy, Ailish Kearney, Blaine Feeley, Emer Connor, Eoghan Osbourne, Paula McMahon, Chris McGlynn, Bridain McQuillan, Paddy Byrne, Isobel Corrigan, Eddie Caffrey, Karen Smyth, Gordan Woods, Caroline Darby, Robert Moynagh , Aisling Shevlin, Martin Murphy, Maria Harmon, Andy McCann, Aisling Byrne, Ronan Balintine, Sarah Gray, Anthony Geraghty, Ann Bellew, John Carron, Sharon Carter, Darren O'Neill, Denise Moynagh, Brendan McGrath, Brenda Lambe, Martin Bannon

Tickets for the final on May 3 will be available from any dancer or committee member and are priced at €25 each.
