Eurovision date for trio

Two members of local Fit Kids/Fit Teens dance school, Abo Obhakhan (13) and Daphney Ndjatang have been chosen as the dancers for Ireland's Junior Eurovision 2018 entry.

The delighted young girls will travel to Minsk, Belarus for eight days of rehearsals, touring, red carpet events and of course the all important final on Saturday 25th November in front of an arena audience of 20,000 not to mention millions of TV viewers worldwide.

Abo and Daphney will be supporting Taylor Hynes (14) who co-wrote the 'as Gaelige' catchy song 'IOU' with Niall Mooney and Jonas Gladnikoff.

A record twenty countries will participate and Taylor has already made history by being the first male to represent his country.

Unlike most competitions the public can vote for their own country so Taylor, Abo and Daphney are hoping all of Ireland will get behind them.

The public can vote for three to five of their favourite songs after the final rehearsal on Friday 23rd November and again during the live final performance shown n TG4 on Sunday 25th November. Fit Kids/Fit Teens director Jacinta Cassidy is confident that Ireland's entry will definitely light up the stage!
