Dominican priory will be the music centre for the week
The Dominican Priory will become the music centre of Drogheda for the week of the Fleadh Cheoil, it has been confirmed.
The main stage for Fleadh TV will move from the North Quay to the Abbey Centre car park, with room for 600 to sit down and enjoy the biggest names in traditional music.
And the 100 crew and guest stars will be based out of the Dominican Priory house across the road.
'We have received wonderful support from Fr Jim and Rita in relation to this and it should be terrific,' producer Paul McKay revealed.
The house will be a focal point as a hub for social media, production and hair and make up.
The whole Wellington Quay area will be a blaze of excitement and colour with a main focus on the river.
'I see the Boyne as the spiritual river of Ireland and we'll be making use of that during the live shows,' Paul added.
