A true classical night promised at St Peter's Church on January 26

The sixth Drogheda International Classical Music Series line up includes a concert on Friday 26th January at 7:30pm St Peter's Church of Ireland.

Johannes Moser (cello) with Andrei Korobeinikov - German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser is regarded as one of the finest cellists today. He makes his first visit to Drogheda in an all-Russian programme with pianist Andrei Korobeinikov. This is one not to be missed.

A Night at the Opera - An evening of opera and song curated by the director of Wide Open Opera and Opera Theatre Company, Fergus Sheil who has put together six singers who really are from the top drawer of emerging Irish talent, including Muireann Mulrooney (sop) Amy Ní Fhearraigh (sop) Carolyn Holt (mez) Andrew Gavin (ten) Cormac Lawlor (bar) and Rob McAllister (bass bar).

Finghin Collins (piano) . For Finghin's first solo recital in the Series, he will perform a programme of Field Nocturnes and Preludes by Rachmaninov and Chopin. A fitting close to the 2017/18 Series.

Fr Ted in Annagassan

The Glyde Inn & Linn Duachaill Restaurant are hosting the Father Ted Show on Saturday, 20 January 2018 at 7:30 pm.

Two of Father Ted's most memorable guest stars, Eoin McLove (Patrick McDonnell) & Fr. Damo (Joe Rooney - pictured) will come together for a night of stand up and musical comedy. The show also contains a "Lovely Girls" competition.

A special Fr Ted Menu will be available beforehand so arrive early as tables cannot be pre-booked. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Charity lunch

The Irish Heart Foundation is proud to present the inaugural 'Irish Heart Charity Luncheon' hosted by Shane Kelly , Sunhill Nursing Home, at the newly remodelled Monasterboice Inn, Co. Louth on 16 February, 2018 in line as part of Valentine's Day celebrations.

It is anticipated the Irish Heart Luncheon will become an annual fixture in the Irish Heart Foundation's calendar and Shane Kelly is particularly pleased to be hosting the inaugural event in Monasterboice.

Gavin Duffy, of Dragons Den on TV3 has will act as Master of Ceremonies on the day which will ensure a fun filled afternoon.

All proceeds from the luncheon will go to the Irish Heart Foundation to provide psychological supports for those who have had a stroke and reside in the local community.

Tickets for the event are priced at €50 and to increase the enjoyment of the luncheon, they are also offering reserved tables. Guests can upgrade to a Sponsor Table at a cost of €1,000 for a sitting of ten (10). This price includes recognition as a Table Sponsor and a half-page advert in the Programme.

Tommy in concert

After 25 years honing his craft, Tommy is now taking his place at the forefront of popular music across the globe. The mere mention of a Tommy Fleming concert has 'sold out' signs being displayed at venues from Dublin to Darwin within the space of minutes.

Tommy has celebrated 25 years as a solo performer, his new album "Stories" released in 2016 celebrates this anniversary. "Stories" is a collection of his favourites songs including some newly recorded special songs and the stories behind them. The title track was written by Paul Brady and it also includes a special duet with Vince Gill it also includes "Be All You Can Be" his biggest hit from the album. 32 tracks in a 2 CD pack one not to be missed.

Smokie are back

International Stars of Country Rock "SMOKIE" return to TLT after a long absence, for another cracking show on Saturday 24 February 2018.

It's hard to believe, but Smokie celebrated their 40th Anniversary last year, with a world tour, which saw them visit 3 continents and brought that distinctive Smokie sound to 19 countries around the globe. And in case you thought they would be tired and burned out? Well, not a bit of it!

They have revelled in the challenge of bringing a new freshness and vigour to Smokie hits that have become classics of pop. The High Kings return to the TLT with their 10th Anniversary Tour which will include all of their hit songs such as Red is the Rose, The Rocky Road to Dublin and many more.
