Los Zarkos prove too strong for weakened Bweeng
Los Zarkos 2 Bweeng Celtic 1
LAST Saturday Bweeng travelled to Milstreet to take on Los Zarcos where, despite missing a number of regulars, they got off to a strong start.
After they created a number of half chances early on Justin McCarthy put the visitors into the lead when his long range shot rattled the back of the home side's net. Bweeng were good value for the lead at this stage and seemed well in control.
Midway through the half Los Zarcos gave the visitors a warning when they missed a clear cut chance in front of goal. This seemed to upset Bweeng and they looked nervous as the half time whistle approached. The homeside capitalsed on this and equalised just before the break thanks to a strike from John O'Sullivan.
Once again in the second half Bweeng piled on the pressure, as the home side failed to get out of their half inside the opening 15 minutes as Zarcos keeper dealt with everything that came his way. Bweeng had a great chance to take the lead when Liam Power found himself with only the keeper to beat but his effort just trickled wide of the post.
Frustration began to creep into the visitors play as they pressed hard for a winner and with a long ball downfield Los Zarcos caught Bweeng on the break as David Curtin struck for his 23rd goal of the season for Los Zarcos. Bweeng again pressed hard for the equalizer but despite dominating play could not find a way back past the in-form keeper.
