Hibernians stay on top of League 2A thanks to this win in Mitchelstown last Sunday. Park put out a lot of new players and they remain in third place with one game to play.

Park's new-look side settled well and had few difficulties in containing Hibs throughout the first half which finished scoreless. The visitors striker Mikey Sheehan broke the deadlock after 55 minutes. A second goal with 15 minutes on the clock settled the outcome. In many ways, this was a vintage Hibs performance as their success this season has been down to solid defending and direct counter attacks.

Park finish their league campaign with a home clash against City Wanderers on Sunday. The opposition look set to finish in fifth place.
