Blarney come out on the right side of eightgoal thriller

Beamish Stout Senior Premier Division On Friday, there was a cracking game in O'Shea Park between Blarney Utd and Midleton.

Blarney Utd were 5-3 winners, thanks to goals from Ivan O'Leary, Kenny Coleman, Richard O'Brien, Danny Corkery and Robbie Butler. Mayfield Utd were 2-1 winners over St Mary's thanks to goals from Barry Triggs and Eric Fleming. Rockmount were 3-1 winners over Douglas Hall in a match played in the Douglas Hall Grounds. Everton couldn't take advantage of playing at home as Mayfield Utd travelled to Everton Park and left as 10 winners. Beamish Stout Senior 1st Division Promotion PlayOff Fermoy were so close but yet so far from promotion to the top flight in Cork, as they lost 3-0 to home side Leeds. Beamish Stout Senior 2nd Division Carrigaline Utd were 2-1 winners over Glasheen in a match played in Glasheen Park. Danny Lynch and John O'Connell were the scorers for Bandon in their 2-0 win over Garryduff. Beamish Stout Junior Premier Division Carrigaline Utd travelled to take on College Corinthians and it was a trip worth their while as they beat the home side 3-1. John Deasy ensured a point for Ringmahon Regs, as they drew 1-1 with Carrigaline Utd in Ballea Park. Glasheen also took a point playing away from home against Mayfield Utd, in a match that finished 1-1, in Mayfield Park. College Corinthians made the trip to Knockgriffin and defeated Midleton 3-0. Everton took on Cobh Wanderers in Everton Park and the home side were 2-1 winners. Blarney Utd could only get a draw in O'Shea Park when the took on Rockmount, Ryan Corbitt scored twice in a game that finished 2-2. Beamish Stout Junior 1st Division Mallow Utd claimed the league in superb style as they travelled to The Farm and defeated UCC Academicals in a massive 12-0 victory. Derek O'Flynn and Roy Willis each scored four, Joe Carroll put two past the keeper and finally Jay Clow and Jimmy O'Connell each scored a single to top off a super season for Mallow Utd. Ringmahon were 4-1 winners over Tramore Ath. Goals were from Shane Collins, Rhys Ahern, Paul Morrissey and Kieran O'Connell. Crofton Celtic were 4-0 winners over a weak Mallow Utd, who already won the league during the week. Beamish Stout Senior Cup Q-Final Rockmount advance to the semi finals after their 2-1 win over St Mary's. Beamish Stout Junior Super Cup Q-Final Midleton advance to the semi final of the Junior Super Cup, after their 3-1 win over Bandon. Pop Kelleher Cup Passage go through to the third round after their 4-2 win over Youghal Utd. College Corinthians advance to the semi finals after their 1-0 win over Passage, thanks to a goal from Ron Stanton. In another quarter final, Bandon saw off Temple Utd in a match that finished 2-0 thanks to goals from Richie Holland and Sean Lordan.
