Casey and O'Keeffe carry Cork hopes in Tipp

The 60x30 Championship action continues during the coming week at both National and Provincial level. At National level Ladies Senior Singles quarter-finals are down for decision on Saturday with Cork interest centred on Tipperary venue Lahorna where Ballydesmond players Catriona Casey and Aishling O'Keeffe are both involved. The programme commences at 2pm with the meeting of Casey with Kildare's Leah Doyle, followed by the meeting of Aishling O'Keeffe with Mayo's Pauline Gallagher.

In provincial 60x30 adult championship good progress has been made to date with the fixture schedule being further advanced during the coming week. Cork involvement for the coming week commences tomorrow (Friday) at Cashel venue with a double header. All games during coming week have a 7.30pm start. Friday's programme in Cashel commences with Intermediate Doubles Final in which Liscarroll pair Michael Hedigan and Daniel Relihan play Waterford's David Walsh and Philip Butler in what promises to be a close contest.

That game will be followed by Junior B Singles Final in which Mallow player David Walsh plays Waterford's Kavan O'Keeffe. Both Walsh and O'Keeffe had impressive wins in their semi-final games last Monday evening and should serve up an interesting contest in their final clash. Moving on to Tuesday evening at Hospital venue Daniel Relihan, Liscarroll, plays Eamonn Davern, Limerick, in Intermediate Singles quarter-final. On Wednesday evening Cullen venue host a double header commencing with Intermediate Singles quarter-final in which Michael Hedigan, Liscarroll, will play John Paul O'Connor, Limerick, in a game that has the makings of a lively contest.

The second game on the Cullen programme is Junior B Doubles quarter-final in which Gearoid O'Connell, Mallow, teams up with Jerry Cronin, Ballydesmond, to play Tipperary's Aidan O'Flaherty and Liam Bradshaw.

Moving on to Friday, September 14 Cullen will again host a double header commencing with the clash of Cork pair Denis Quinn, Ballydesmond, partnering Shane Flynn, Boherbue, with Limerick's Sean Murphy and Anthony Donnelly. The second game on the programme is Junior B Doubles quarter-final in which David Walsh, Mallow, partnered by John Hurley, Liscarroll, also face Limerick opposition in Risteard Duggan and Denis Donegan.

In Munster Juvenile singles and doubles championship while we await fixtures at the time of writing it is expected that the first games will be scheduled for the coming weekend.
