Former Cork great return as coach to the Kilbrin Junior hurling

KILBRIN will look to the guidance of former coach Seán O'Gorrman to lead their Junior A Hurling charge in 2015. Taking a back seat role last season, the Milford native returns at the helm at Kilbrin in their bid towards landing an unprecedented five in a row of Duhallow JAHC titles and look to a breakthrough at county level.

From the past season, Kilbrin retained their divisional crown yet they licked their wounds on disappointment in the county, incurring a surprise defeat to Ballinhassig at the semi final stage.

O'Gorman made his inter county senior debut against Tipperary in the League late in 1979 he had to wait until 1982 for a Championship call up and his career climaxed as part of the 1990 All Ireland winning Cork side.

At club level, the versatile performer helped Milford win the County JAHC in 1981, adding the intermediate crown the following year.

Career wise, O'Gorman is well recognised in Kilbrin, Principal to the local National School and credited with introducing hurling to the majority of the current Junior A panel.

Success has come within Duhallow, completing a three in a row of JAHC titles progressing to the 2013 Co, Final only to incur a loss to Grenagh. Disappointment followed last season and with the return of O'Gorman, it may well give the side the guile and venom to complete their objective.
