Senior citizens

THE Fermoy Senior Citizens Christmas Party will take place at the new venue of Kades County in Glenville - this is due to the ongoing flood relief works at Barnane.

Coaches to and from the venue will be provided. Tickets at €10 can be purchased from Frances (086/8762355) or from any committee member,


Fermoy Camera Club members are holding a gala evening in aid of the local branch of the Cope Foundation on Friday, November 29. Members of the public are invited to view images of a year in the life of the town in an exhibition at the Grand Hotel from 6.30pm. Tickets for the event cost €10 and are available from Frank Morgan, Photography, McCurtain St, Fermoy, or from any club member.


The Fermoy Men's Club, which is now two years in existence, is going from strength to strength, with membership still growing.

Club members meet on the second Monday each month in the Fermoy Community Youth Centre at 3pm.

There is usually a talk or presentation of interest to members at the meetings. Trips are arranged to places of interest and other activities.

The next meeting is on Monday, November 25.


The annual get-together dinner of the Cloyne/Lourdes families and friends will take place the Vienna Woods Hotel, Glanmire, on Friday, November 22 at 8pm.

The members of the Fermoy Country Markets Group are very busy these days taking orders for Christmas cakes, porter cakes-puddings, mince pies and a variety of Christmas goods for the coming festive time.

They are now offering a selection of gluten-free produce so do drop in any Friday at the Fermoy Community Youth Centre between 2-4pm.
