North Cork fiddler to contest Ó Riada musician-ship final
Caoimhe Flannery from Rockchapel is among 15 finallists in the prestigious Bonn Ór Uí Riada musicianship competition to be held in Cork on Friday.
North Cork fiddle player Caoimhe Flannery is among fifteen musicians from around the world taking part in the prestigious Bonn Ór Uí Riada musiscian-ship competition final to be held in Cork on Friday.
The Rockchapel musician is vying with fiddlers from north America and across Ireland for the top prize of a gold medal and a €2500 first prize.
The competition is organised by RTÉ RnaG presenter and composer, Peadar Ó Riada from Cúil Aodha, and will be broadcast during his weekly Cuireadh Chun Ceoil show on Friday at 7pm.
