North Cork fiddle player Caoimhe Flannery is among fifteen musicians from around the world taking part in the prestigious Bonn Ór Uí Riada musiscian-ship competition final to be held in Cork on Friday.
The Rockchapel musician is vying with fiddlers from north America and across Ireland for the top prize of a gold medal and a €2500 first prize.
The competition is organised by RTÉ RnaG presenter and composer, Peadar Ó Riada from Cúil Aodha, and will be broadcast during his weekly Cuireadh Chun Ceoil show on Friday at 7pm.
