No access to Sunday’s Well in Banteer

Sunday's Well near Banteer is a popular attraction for the public but an upgrade of work at the location will close access to the Well from August 18 for a short duration.

Situated at a picturesque setting over the river Lacklown, the location is part of the religious history of Banteer parish going back hundreds of years with a Mass Rock in close proximity.

Following a run of storms over recent years, the pathway to the well had deteriorated to weather with overgrowth and fallen trees limiting access beforee a local group came together to restore the Well to its original status thanks to the support of IRD Duhallow, Banteer Macra, Cork County Council and many other groups and individuals.
