Mt Hillary seek participants for Couch to 5k

Mount Hillary AC are looking ahead to their first Couch To 5K which will commence on Tuesday, Sepember 18 and run for six weeks on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Couch to 5K is an instructor led program to gradually build fitness levels to enable participants achieve the goal of being able to run 5k by the end of the program.

The Couch to 5k comes after Mount Hilary AC promoted the hugely successful 5 mile Road Race on linking up with Lombardstown Community Council to stage the event.

Run over a relatively flat and scenic route close to the river Blackwater, taking first place was Tim O'Connor from Riocht with a time of 26 minutes 32 seconds followed home by Alfie Davis (Leevale) and Eoin Sugrue, Banteer.
