Lots of local interest in February Bid X1 auction
The virtual hammer is set to come down on a number of inviting and potentially lucrative lots from across the north and mid-Cork areas at the upcoming February BidX1 online auction of residential and commercial properties.
Properties in Mallow, Kanturk, Glanworth, Donoughmore and Macroom will be among more than 350 lots up for grabs during the auction, which will take place over three days on February 22 & 23 and again on February 28.
The first two days of the auction will be devoted solely to residential properties, with five local lots included on the auction catalogue.
The first of these will be a mid-terrace, two-bedroom house at Upper Bluepool in Kanturk. The property, which has a rear garden, is subject to a tenancy with a current rent of €2,800 per annum and will have a reserve price not to exceed €80,000.
A vacant, first-floor apartment at 1, Buttery Square, Mallow will be up for sale with a reserve not to exceed €100,000.
Extending to approximately 101 sq metres the vacant flat close to Muddy Hill, has three bedrooms.
Another property in Mallow, this time a vacant detached three-bed bungalow at Castlekevin, will also go under the hammer on the first day. Listed as requiring refurbishment, the property measures approximately 54 sq metres, has off street parking and gardens to the rear and comes with a reserve not to exceed €30,000.
The second day of the residential auction will include two lots from north Cork, the first a vacant, semi-detached, three bed house at 22 Pairc Na gCrainn, Glanworth. It has rear and front gardens, off-street parking and will be up for auction with a reserve not to exceed €175,000.
The other property, a vacant three-bed, detached bungalow at Ruby's Bridge, Coolamona, Donoughmore situated on a sizeable site will have reserved not to exceed €130,000.
The first of the two local lots up for grabs during the February 28 commercial auction will be a vacant building in the heart of the Market Square development in Mallow, which will have a guide price of €350,000.
Described in the BidX1 online catalogue as a "substantial commercial building", it offers potentially rich pickings for investors.
Extending to approximately 10,355 sq ft, the building, situated on the eastern side of William O'Brien St opposite the Courthouse, is arranged over ground and three upper floors.
The building consists of a 3,380 sq ft retail unit, first floor storage space, a gym spread over the second floor and third floor office space, with the upper three floors each measuring 2,325 sq ft.
The final lot of local interest will be an almost five-acre parcel of 'development land' at Gurteenrow, Lismire, Macroom. Situated mid-way along the Millstreet Road, the land has lapsed planning permission for 47 houses and a guide price of €300,000.
