Having tantalised the tastes buds of discerning Irish cider drinkers for many years, Mallow's Longueville House has added yet more accolades to its already bulging awards cabinet.

This after its multi-award winning Mór Cider was awarded a coveted '3-Star' accolade at the international 2019 Great Taste awards.  The most recent addiction to its stable of ciders, Mór has already won gold at last year's Alltech Craft Brew and Food Fair, as well as being crowned Overall Champion and scooping the 2018 Alltech Commonwealth (Cider) Cup.

To put this latest accolade into some perspective, there were a total of 12,772 entries from more than 100 countries for the 2019 Great Taste awards,  with just 208 of them warning the highly prestigious '3-Star' designation.  Regarded as the 'Oscars' of the international food industry, the Great Taste Awards are judged by a panel of culinary experts, including MasterChef 2018 winner, chef/food writer Gill Meller and buyers from Selfridges and Fortnum and Mason.

The judges described it as having "a wonderful nose full of bright fresh apples with hints of brandy and oak".
