Fancy dress is a spooktacular success

From witches to zombies and much more added to the atmosphere for a special Hallowe'en fancy dress disco hosted by Rylane Boxing Club in the Bush Bar, Millstreet last weekend.

Living up to its billing as one of the big nights of the year, the popular annual event saw fun loving clubbers put together an array of characters and spooky outfits. Organisers were thrilled by the response and proceeds from the function go to club funds and charity.

Patrons at the function donned fitting attire, from Lady Gaga to Superman and Zombies were just a selection of the costumes that emerged. Indeed, new and old friends came out in fancy dress and add to the atmosphere of the Halloween trick or treat event.

"It was a brilliant atmosphere and thanks to everybody who attended, particularly well done to those who donned costumes in the spirit of the occasion", said club spokesperson Nuala Desmond. She expressed delight at the response to the staging. The event is the main fund-raiser of the year for the flourishing Mid Cork club.

Prize winners included Brendan O'Sullivan, Denise Smyth and Brian Kenny. "The hosting was excellent, everyone was in such superb fancy dress, it was a brilliant night", said Nuala.
