Camera Club

AT THE Southern Association of Camera Clubs Annual Print and Projected Regional qualifying round competition held at the Horse & Jockey, Thurles last weekend, Mallow Camera Club member Vivien Buckley received an Honourable Mention in the still life section.

Members John Doheny, Bill Power and John Hooton also had their work selected to go forward to the national competition which will be held in February of next year. Next Monday nights meeting, in the Mercy Centre at 8.30pm, will see visiting photographers Catherine and Scott McBride from Celbridge Camera Club, Co. Kildare show their images and talk about their work. The MacBrides are two of the most inspirational, fun, entertaining and creative photographers on these shores. Mallow Adult Learning Centre wishes to thank everyone who supported their Church Gate Collection on Saturday and Sunday of last weekend. Special appreciation also to the volunteers who so kindly gave of their time. M.A.L.C. Is situated on the top floor of the Parish Centre. People with difficulty in reading, writing or spelling can call between 9am and 1pm from Monday to Friday. The service is free and each individual is dealt with on a one to one basis and is totally confidential.


Mallow Tidy Towns AGM will take place at their headquarters in Hibernian Way on Tuesday, November 19 at 8pm.

M.T.T. look forward to welcoming volunteers who toiled throughout the year to improve Mallow's appearance and the group is always on the look out for new members; email or find them on Facebook.


Mallow ICA will hold their next meeting on Monday, November 11 at 8pm in the Social Services Centre. There will be a guest speaker on the night. Everyone is very welcome.
