Talks and retreats in Killavullen

Maria Herlihy

A 32-ACRE organic farm and stunning views of the Blackwater valley make an ideal setting at the Nano Nagle Centre in Killavullen to hear and meet world-renowned speakers.

The centre is hosting a series of spring and summer talks and workshops centring on heritage, spirituality and ecology.

On April 4-6, Fr Daniel O'Leary will be hosting an Easter themed retreat, 'Easter in my heart - living the abundant life of grace everyday.'

In May, there will be a mindfulness retreat weekend by Timothy Sweeney. Staying with the month of May, Fr Louis Hughes, will also give a seminar on 'the breath of mediation in life.' This retreat will seek to promote relaxation of breath. Participants are helped to become more deeply awe of the ways in which the breath moves and to recognise and respond.

Then in June Angela Campion will be hosting a 'Prayer and the Universe' themed weekend retreat. This is followed by a five-day retreat with Brother Denis Glesson, who will be undertaking an AA spirituality retreat. This retreat is suitable for anyone who is interested in the 12 steps and who wishes to continue, or to embark upon a 12-step spiritual journey.

Other events will follow in the summer. For further information visit the web site and for bookings contact 022 26411 or email secretary@nanonaglebirthplace.
