St Marks to host hospice hurling blitz
Parents of St. Mark's (Freemount, Meelin & Rockchapel) Juvenile GAA Club will host their annual charity hurling event on this Saturday, September 7.
The fundraiser will be held in conjunction with Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice. Last year's event raised €2,510 for what is the main annual national fundraiser for hospice care nationwide and organisers are hoping to raise as much if not more than that amount this year.
At least seven north Cork teams will take part in the event which will be held at Meelin GAA grounds, from 9.45am - 1.30pm.
St. Mark's U6 to U12 will compete against some of North Cork's finest clubs, including Newmarket, Kanturk, Croke Rovers, Milford, Granard Gaels and Millstreet.
All Proceeds from this year's event will go to Marymount Hospice.
The Hurling Fundraiser will kick off with the U6s and U8s led by Newmarket Pipe Band.
This will be followed at 10am by an U6s and U8s hurling blitz.
U10s will play from 11.45am and the U12s will play from 12.45pm.
Everybody welcome, food and refreshments will be provided.
