AN open night and first year enrolment takes place in Millstreet Community School on this Thursday night between 7.30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
All are welcome to get an insight into the wide array of school activities and all the facilities.
Meanwhile, Millstreet TYstudents involved in the St Vincent de Paul 'Youth for Justice' programme along with some older adults from the local community, have come up with some creative ways of getting the two different age groups to meet together and have some fun in the process.
The group met twice over tea and biscuits to brainstorm ideas for possible activities. They managed to whittle the extensive list down to four events, the first of which is a 'Games Day' taking place on Monday, March 3 in Millstreet Community School library between 2 and 4 p.m.
The event is open to all older adults and will involve the opportunity to play a variety of card games, bingo, scrabble and other board games in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Cakes baked by the students and the older adults will be a special feature of the afternoon. Admission is free.
