MS society look toward 30 years in North Cork

The Cork North West branch of Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS) held their 29th annual Christmas get together at the Charleville Park Hotel on last Sunday afternoon when committee members along with 65 members of the branch and their relatives and carers celebrated the festive season in style.

The twenty-five members attending the celebration were drawn from branches in Newmarket, Charleville, Millstreet, Mallow, Bweeing and Newtownshandrum. Ms Maura Murphy of the Cork North West branch said that they were delighted to be in Charleville for the first time and they looked forward to coming here again.

"We hold our branch meetings in Newmarket and our main source of income is from donations and church gate collections," said Ms Murphy.

The chairman of the branch, Mr. Martin Hennessy, Charleville, said that they will be celebrating their 30th year in existence in 2015 and they hoped to again be celebrating the occasion in the Charleville Park Hotel. The branch secretary Mr. Sean Radley of Millstreet was also among the attendance.
