Congratulations to Kanturk's Michelle Finn (Leevale AC), who helped the Irish Cross Country Team to Bronze in the European Cross Country Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria last weekend.

Michelle was a member of a 33-strong Irish team led by Fionnuala Britton. Michelle along with her Irish team-mates ran a great race and Ireland scored 88 points just one ahead of France to take the Bronze Medal.

Fionnula Britton finished 6th, with Sarah Treacy 12th, Michelle Finn 23rd and Marie McGlynn in 46th place to complete the team score.

The Irish Team was, Fionnuala Britton (Kilcoole AC), Michelle Finn (Leevale AC), Laura Crowe (An Riocht), Sara Treacy (Dunboyne AC), Siobhan O'Doherty (Borriskane AC) and Ann Marie McGlynn (Letterkenny A.C).
