There will be a free, basic Introductory Computer Course starting at Mitchelstown Library on Tuesday, January 21, where it will run for 16 weeks.
The course will comprise of small classes that are open to all. It is suitable for computer beginners.

IT has been confirmed that Billy Morgan will act as an assistant to selectors Michael Beston and Joe O' Sullivan for 2014. They meet Kildorrery in the Co IFC.
THE HSE will organise a six week 'stop smoking' support group at the Living Health Centre, Mitchelstown on Wednesday January 15 from 12md to 1pm.
The course can be accessed, free of charge by any member of the public wanting support to quit. While the ultimate goal of the course is to eventually be smoke free, the emphasis throughout is on the process of quitting, and moving from one stage to the next to eventually becoming a non smoker.

A NEW series of healthy walks is to take place in Mitchelstown every Tuesday night starting at John Mandeville New Square at 7pm and covering a choice of 3km and 5km routes.
A good aerobic walk for 30 minutes will enhance physical and mental well being. Join in with a good bunch in the walking club. It's all free.

THE Mitchelstown branch of Concern wish to sincerely thank all who helped out with the recent 12 hour fast in November and the church gate collection prior to Christmas.
To all who contributed so generously, a sincere thank you.
The breakdown was as follows: 12 hour fast, €4,615.50; church gate collection, €2153.17; total: €6,768.67.
Ballygiblin GAA Club held a social in the Ramble Inn on Sunday night last.
The Junior B hurlers who won the championship along with the winners of the puc fada received their presentations. John O'Donnell, board chairman, was the special guest and made the presentations. A great night was had by all.
