Knocknagree Ladies FC bingo booster

John Tarrant

Two little ducks and a baker's dozen surfaced at the Knocknagree Ladies Football Club annual fundraising bingo night hosted in Cullen Community Centre. Proceeds from the venture go towards maintaining facilities to a high standard; nurturing and encouraging young players to participate and enjoy our national games; and represent their club with pride.

An air of celebration surrounded the event as Knocknagree had earlier delivered a blistering performance to overcome a gallant Castlemagner side to land the County Ladies 13-a-side Football Championship title for the first time in the club's history.

A powerful attacking performance allowed Knocknagree to land the spoils thanks to a productive display of excellent teamwork that reaped a positive return on the scoreboard.

Away from the field, patrons sat back to enjoy the bingo game, and club secretary Catherine Ring applauded the support.

"Along with being a good fundraiser for the club, the bingo brought a bit of fun and excitement for everyone in the community centre," said Catherine.
