Over 80 people participated in this year’s Faith Camp held in the Town hall, Mitchelstown.

After a two-year break due to COVID, it was wonderful to be back celebrating the 10th anniversary, and children and volunteers alike had great fun and experienced the joy of faith in God.

Throughout the week, the children were involved in different activities, including arts and crafts; sports; music and drama.

The drama teams were busy preparing various performances with each group, and all their efforts culminated in a wonderful show on Thursday afternoon. Many parents came to see their children act out scenes from the lives of the saints.

The highlight of each day was the Children’s Mass celebrated by Canon Michael Leamy, Fr Pat O’Donoghue and Fr Patrick Cahill. The Faith Camp depends hugely on the goodwill of many people within the community to help make it the great success it was.
