Congratulations to the 19 recently trained volunteers who were presented with their certificates last week at The Glen Theatre by Gerard McAuliffe of Kanturk & Millstreet Red Cross. We would like to thank Gerard most sincerely for his help in originally setting up the Group in 2008, and his availability for assistance and advice whenever needed. Banteer Village is currently served by the 2 AED units at the Community Centre and the Sportsfield as the unit at St. Fursey's Church is replacing the unit at Lyre Hall which is awaiting repair. The Group has applied for Grant Aid for the intended purchase of an additional AED unit for Nadd Village. We are also near finalizing the next group of Volunteers for training, to be completed before the end of 2012. This Training can now be completed in 2 hours and is valid for 2 years.

CYSTIC FIBROSIS FUNDRAISER
Table quiz in memory of Rory O Connor. To honour the memory of the late Rory O' Connor, Banteer, who died tragically in a road accident in February 2011, his family and friends are organising a Table Quiz, in Banteer Community Centre, at 8pm, on this Friday 9th November 2012. (Table of 4 - €40) Proceeds on the night will go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Project - Build4Life. This Project aims to build a dedicated Children's Unit at Cork University Hospital which will serve the entire Munster Region. BANTEER CFC INTO SAXONE CUP FINAL
Banteer CFC beat Central Rovers 41 in the Saxone Cup semi final last Sat. A great result for Banteer and well done to everyone involved. Also a special thanks to the supporters on the day as the weather conditions weren't appealing. With the date of the Saxone Cup final to be confirmed it will be in Turners Cross and a bus will be going from Banteer.
DUHALLOW ATHLETIC CLUB
In association with Cork Sports Partnership, are pleased to announce that a Fit 4 Life programme will continue in Banteer Sportsfield/Park on Thursday next @7.30pm sharp. A fully qualified instructor from Athletics Ireland, will be on hand each Thursday night for 6 weeks, to help and aid with the group. Open to all adults in the Duhallow Region. Come along and bring a friend or 2 for an enjoyable experience.

Fr Diarmuid Sheehan who is a great friend to the Banteer area is at present recovering from a recent operation and is hoping to return to Ghana at the end of Nov.Fr Diarmuid who is a priest in St Monicas Parish in Ghana is hoping to complete his new Church in the near future.

Are organizing to make a presentation to help Fr Diarmuid complete his Church and the Community Council are liaising with all voluntary clubs and organizations re collecting contributions towards the presentation.
