Busy time ahead for Mallow RFC

Bill Browne

It promises to be a busy time ahead for Mallow Rugby Club with a number of exciting events planned over the coming weeks.

On Friday week (July 13) the club will be heading out to the Cork Racecourse for an evening of racing, with the first race on the all National Hunt Card going to post at around 5pm.

This will be an important fundraiser for the club and they are appealing for all those involved with MRFC to support the event.

Tickets from Kerry on 086 862 0252 priced at €20 (adults) and €10 (students).

Preparations are also being made for this year's tag rugby festival, with 12 teams already entered for the event which will take place on Saturday, August 11. Teams can register at www.mallowfctag.com at €180 per team with the early bird offer extended until this coming Friday.

Meanwhile, tag rugby training will continue each Thursday at 8pm at Parkadiliane with all teams welcome to join the fun.

The club will hold its annual golf classic at Mallow Golf Club on Thursday, September 6. Entry fee will be €150 for a team of three and tee boxes and green can be sponsored for €50 each.
