45 Drive - The weekly 45 Drive was well attended on Sunday night last. The following is a list of the lucky winners: First Prize went to Dan Murphy, and Jerry O'Callaghan, Freemount. The best ladies team was: Maureen Vaughan, and Eileen O'Sullivan, Kanturk.

As Winter Time has commenced ,the card game will commence at 8p.m each Sunday night during The Winter. See you all on Sunday night and bring a friend. You can be on the road home at 10pm.

ALL IRELAND CONCERT - Look out for our All Ireland Concert in Freemount Community Centre on this Saturday night November 25th.at 8pm.
This is your chance to savour the glory of winning 3 All Ireland Céilí Band Competitions at Ennis Fleadh Cheoil. The three bands will perform in concert on stage on that night as well as other solo All Ireland winners.

AMHRÁNATHON - Freemount Comhaltas will hold an "Amhránathon"- Traditional Singing Marathon for Young Singers in aid of Make a Wish Foundation on Friday evening, November 24th from 5-8pm in Freemount Heritage Centre. This will involve young singers singing for three hours non-stop in aid of a very worthy cause. Freemount Comhaltas invite any young singers to come and perform and help to keep our singing tradition alive, while raising money for less fortunate children around the country. SINGING NIGHT - This Year's Willie Dunne Weekend will be held on 24th. and 25th. November. On this Friday night 24th. We have a singing night with a difference ,,this year we have a perpetual trophy for the best performance on the night .Please make a note of the date and have your party piece ready !!!. The Thursday Club
The following is the programme organized by Thurs Club until Christmas:

3. Christmas Shopping at The Crescent Shopping Centre and lunch on Monday December 4th.

Freemount Kangaroo club will hold the blessing and lighting of the Christmas Remembrance Tree and Carol singing on Friday night December 1st at 7.30pm. The switching on of the village Christmas lights will follow. Refreshments will be served in the Heritage Centre immediately afterwards. Everyone welcome. Also if anyone would like to add a deceased family member to the already existing list for our Remembrance Tree please contact Emer at 0868604246 before November. 18th.
They are also erecting a crib in the Remembrance Garden . The lighting of The Crib will also take place on Friday night December 1st at 7.30 Anybody wishing to help with baking etc.it would be greatly appreciated ,and it can be handed into the Heritage Centre on Friday afternoon from 2 o'clock to four.

Last Saturday night club members travelled to Killarney to celebrate the club's success in coming runners up in the Club of the Year competition and also to celebrate Siobhán Ring's success in winning the National Final of Senior Beef Stock Judging.
Sunday morning, we travelled to Mallow to compete in the Regional round of soccer. Well done to all our members who took part.
Sports night continues again this Wednesday night in Banteer. All welcome to attend.

The Kilbrin Ploughing Association will hold their annual ploughing match, on Sunday, December 3, at 11 a.m. on the lands of Vincent Hayes, Ballyheen South, Kilbrin.
Kilbrin GAA hosted a most enjoyable male fashion show on Saturday night last. The attendance were treated to a great display of fashion from local shops including Central Stores and Central Sports Stores Kanturk, Morans of Charleville, Barry's men's wear Mallow, Mods and Minis. Our models had their hair styled by the Friendly Barber Kanturk with decorating for the ramp by Castle Buds Kanturk.
Our comperes Celine Hayes and Denise Sheill did a great job and made it a thoroughly enjoyable night. Claire Buttimer put in a huge effort to make the night a great success. We would like to thank everyone for their support.
Our lotto draw takes place on Monday night next for a jackpot of €4,400.
Congratulations to Kanturk on their great win on Sunday last when they captured the Munster intermediate hurling title. We wish them well in the all-Ireland.
U21 Hurling Semi-Final
Best of luck to Robert Emmets, the Newmarket Lismire combination who will play Millstreet in the Under 21 Hurling Championship Semi-Final at Meelin next Saturday at 2.00pm.
Rosary will be held on Sunday 26th November in Kilcorcan Cemetery after 11am Mass in St. Josephs Church.
Annual General Meeting
The Lismire Community Association AGM will be held on Monday 4th December 2017 at 8pm. It is vital to have a large attendance for this in order to keep the organisation running.
Cailin Tobin, the daughter of local woman Sonya Tobin is competing in the Miss Universe Final in Las Vegas on Sunday November 26th. We would like to wish her the best of luck and every success in the final.

IRD Duhallow Youth & Education Working Group will hold an Information Seminar on Cyberbullying for Parents, Guardians and Teachers of Children of all ages. This information Seminar will take place on Monday 20th of November in the James O'Keeffe Institute in Newmarket at 7.30pm. Topics covered on the night will include the causes of Cyberbullying, the effects of technology use on children and prevention and safe use of technology.
The talk will be delivered by Pat Forde of Stopthebully.ie, Pat has worked with schools all over the country implementing his anti-bullying programme with students, staff and parents. He also featured on the RTE Television series Bullyproof with David Coleman and is a regular contributor to national media debates on the subject having had many of his articles featured in newspapers and online.
