The Pearse Memorial Hall was packed to capacity on Sunday last for the Duhallow Scór na bPáistí semi-final, where the audience was treated to a selection of top-class entertainment. Boherbue qualified for the finals, which will take place at the Edel Quinn Hall, Kanturk on Sunday, February 24, in Figure Dancing, Solo Dancing, Seán-nós dancing, Acting, Solo Music and Group Music.
On this Saturday night in Lismire they contest the quiz, Novelty Act and Recitation Finals.
On Saturday last in Ovens in the County Senior Scór finals Boherbue took the honours in both the Figure and set dancing and were runners-up in the music and Ballad Group competitions.
This Saturday the 16th they contest the all-Ireland Scór na nÓg Quiz final in Castlebar with the quartet of Dan Sheehan, Dónal Murphy, Leah O'Sullivan and Ailish O'Hanlon. We wish them the best of luck.

Páirc an Oileáin lost its oldest resident recently when Mary Cronin died in Macroom Hospital. Predeceased by her husband, Jimmy in 1996, the late Mary was laid to rest in Reilig Lachtaín Naofa following Requiem Mass, celebrated by Canon Roberts.
She will always be remembered as a lady of deep faith, a keen gardener, a competitive card player and a talented craftswoman.
Sympathy is extended to her son Declan, daughter Noreen, son in law John and grandsons Aidan and Ian. Beannacht Dé lena anam dílis.

Lá le Gobnait
Many, many pilgrims visited Baile Mhúirne on Monday last to celebrate Lá le Gobnait in beautiful Spring weather. All noticed the pristine Shrine and litter free approach roads and huge thanks is due to those wonderful volunteers who had the Shrine and grounds looking its best.

Importance of pollination
There will be a talk on the Importance of Pollination in the Library, Macroom on Wednesday, February, 20th at 11:30am. It will be given by Donna Weiner, a conservative ecologist. All are welcome to this free event.

Parish pastoral council
A very informative and well attended meeting was held last week in Community Hall. And the following were elected. President Fr. Wickham. Chairperson Linda Bradley and Secretary Jackie O'Luasa.
All others present will be part of the committee. Lots of ideas and suggestions were discussed including a Parish newsletter.
The next meeting will be Tuesday Feb 26 from 7to 8pm.
St.Abbey's Shrine church cross
Last Monday Feb 11, the feast of St. Abbey, rosary and prayers and a hymn were all recited at this newly erected shrine. Johnny had the area looking resplendent for the occasion
CCM Active Retired
The very popular singing in Community Hall has resumed. The next session is Monday Feb 25 from 7pm to 9pm. A great night was had last Monday night in the Hall at the sing Song. Fintan had a special guest lined up for this happy group.
Our own Ger Wolfe well known for his song 'The Curragh Road' which he sung beautifully on the night. Thanks Fintan and Ger for a great night of playing and singing.
A special Afternoon Tea for Valentines Day on this Thurs Feb 14 at 4pm. will take place in the Community Hall. All members welcome. On Tues Feb 19 from 2pm to 4pm in Community Hall there will be a talk on Natural Remedies, and gentle chair Tai Chi exercises relaxation
