MEN ON THE MOVE
Ballyhea Men on the Move takes place at 7.30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays in the Gym in the new complex in Ballyhea GAA Club. The past pupils of Scoil Cuil a Bhuacaigh during the 1960s were saddened to hear of the unexpected death of parish priest Fr Connie Kelleher, Touraneena and the Nire, Co. Waterford. The late Fr Connie and his siblings spent their summer holidays with their Aunt Nellie and attended Scoil Cúil a Bhuacaigh with their O'Callaghan cousins during a week or two in July. They joined in skating on the rock, climbing the big laurel tree and playing football in Páirc Free. He was laid to rest in St Mary's Cemetery, Dungarvan following Concelebrated Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Touraneena. Leaba chaoin i measc na n-Aingeal go raibh aige.

Two new defibrillators were installed recently locally, one at Mons and the other at Tigh Uí Chríodáin, Droichid na Toinne. Both Pubs held fundraisers to purchase these vital pieces of lifesaving equipment and Coiste Forbartha Chill na Martra presented cheques to make up the shortfall in both cases. There are now five defibrillators available locally, one at Cois Cille, one in Páirc Ui Chuana, one at Oifig a Phoist Réidh na nDoirí and the two new ones at Mons and Droichid na Toinne. Coiste Forbartha Chill na Martra are planning to hold a training day in Defibrillator use shortly, if there is sufficient demand.
BLOOD DONATION CLINIC
Clondrohid Community Hall will host its 1st Donation Clinic on Monday April 27 from 5 to 8.30pm and on Tuesday April 28 from 3 to 5pm and from 7 to 9pm. Please mark these dates in your diary and support this important Clinic.
PARISH ACTIVE RETIRED
The annual JACK'S MYSTERY TOUR organised by IRD Duhallow will take place on Tues May 26 costing €70 which covers all costs on the day.. All those interested in travelling, please contact Mary on 0872036947 as soon as possible as numbers for busses need to be sorted. The Active Retired organised a very successful Scoraiocht last May in conjunction with the Bealtaine Festival, and they plan to organise the same this year on Friday night May 15 in Community Hall Clondrohid. NEWS FROM CARRIGANIMA
This year Carriganima will celebrate St. Patrick's Day on this Sunday Mar 15 ( virus permitting) with their usual well supported parade. The parade will commence at 3pm. And this year there will be collection points for funds for the Air Ambulance in Rathcoole. A replica of the ambulance will be on display in front of the Priest's house.
A Rep from Air Ambulance will attend on the day as will the 1st person to use the ambulance, a native of Kilcorney and also a lady from Ballyvourney who used it recently.. They will be relating their experiences. Music on the day will be provided by Michelle Murphy (back by popular demand ) not sure if Seanie is claiming to be related, no doubt all will be revealed!!!!
