THE Mallow Tidy Towns (MTT) group held a meeting on Thursday night last to discuss the results of the Tidy Towns competition, and earmark where some areas can be improved.

It was agreed that advice and support was needed from people with special interest or qualifications in bio-diversity and waste managament. Any help would be greatly appreciated from such groups.

The MTT 'Litter Angels' were out early on Saturday morning and collected three and a half bags of litter from lanes and carparks.

At 10.30am on Saturday morning people from Mallow Rugby Club joined MTT at the Annabella Roundabout to clean and paint the railings. There was great progress made with up to 36 people working together.

Special thanks are sent to Lisa at the Roundabout Tavern for all the teas and coffees.

The annual MTT fundraising table quiz will be held on Friday, October 18 at O'Keeffe's Bar, at 8.30pm.
