'Tradiohead' spring a few surprises

NO surprises? Well, not quite.

Tradiohead, who play Cyprus Avenue next Wednesday, November 13, take the songs of Radiohead and re-imagine them using instruments more often associated with Irish traditional music.

The quartet play songs from classic albums like 'The Bends', 'OK Computer' and 'Kid A', as well as more recent Radiohead records like 'Hail To The Thief' and 'In Rainbows.' Tradiohead, who have enjoyed attention in recent times from Hot Press, Today FM and the New York Times and are veterans of Whelan's in Dublin, the Electric Picnic, trad festivals and sell-out shows around the country are set for a return to Cyprus Avenue on Wednesday next.

The band are Jimi McDonnell on vocals, Philip Fogarty on accordion and bodhrán, Pat Hargan on guitar, and Michael Chang on violin, viola and mandolin.

Tickets €8, doors 9pm.
