The Music Network will kick off its spring 2018 season with a mouthwatering concert at the Triskel Christchurch Arts Centre on Tuesday, January 16 featuring a 'supergroup' of Ireland's most dynamic trad musicians.

Vocalist Niamh Parsons (Arcady) a peerless balladeer with one of the most distinctive voices in Irish music, will front the group that will include Ciarán Tourish (Altan), Liam Kelly (Dervish) and virtuoso guitarist John Kelly.

Donegal fiddle maestro and whistle player Tourish is feted for his incendiary improvisation and cascading arpeggios, providing the perfect foil to the invention, rhythmic drive and flair of flautist Liam Kelly.

A founding member of Dervish and a true master of his craft, Kelly is equally at home trading riffs with the likes of Sting and the Buena Vista Social Club.

Add to the mix John Doyle's signature guitar sound, heard on recordings by Solas, Joan Baez, Usher's Island, Linda Thompson and Tim O'Brien among others, and you have the perfect combination for a magical night of music. Tickets for the concert from the venue on 021 427 2022 or www.triskelartscentre.ie priced at just €12.
